Registration Information

Thank you for your interest IN Waukesha North Youth Football!

Registration IS NOW OPEN for the 2024 season

Who is eligible to play:

Any player that will be a 4th-8th grader in the Fall of 2024 and resides in the Waukesha North district or attendance area. Note that 4th graders would "play up" on the 5th grade team. Depending on the number of registrations, it is possible we may combine 6th & 7th grades (play at 7th grade level against similar teams). The league we play in (AAYFL) does have districting rules. If you are planning on using school choice to attend North please contact us before registering.

What are player fees:

Total player Fees amount to $300. We require a $75 Registration Deposit to reserve your roster spot. The Fees balance remaining (i.e. $225) is due at equipment handout, held at Waukesha North on July 31st. Payment is preferred by Venmo or Check.

HOw to register:

All registrations must be submitted online (link above).

What equipment is required:

You are required to have your own football cleats, mouthguard, and 5-pad girdle. There are many options for the girdle and mouthguard, so choose the one that works best for your player. Many families purchase personal equipment like athletic cup, gloves, chin strap, or armpads. Click here for examples of the girdle

WNYF provides each player a helmet, chin strap, shoulder pads, game & practice jerseys, pants, and belt. All equipment is the property of WNYF and is provided on loan to your player.

A $250 deposit check (combined with volunteer deposit) is required for program-issued equipment. All issued equipment must be returned promptly at the end of the season at one of the equipment return dates. Failure to do so will result in forfeit of deposit and possible increased deposit for future years. We recertify equipment at the end of season, so late returns delay the process and cause us to incur additional costs.

Volunteering:

WNYF is a 100% volunteer-driven organization. Volunteering is required of participant families. Without family involvement, we are unable to operate. We will send out a master signup at the beginning of the season with multiple opportunities for concessions, chain gang, clock/announcer, setup and cleanup, etc. Each participant will be required to fill one shift during the season. You do not have to work a shift during your players' game. There is a volunteer deposit of $250 (combined with equipment deposit) required in the form of a check. Once volunteer hours are fulfilled and equipment returned at end of season, the deposit check will be voided.

Practice / Game information:

Practice times are set by each individual head coach. Typically they are held in the evenings, M-F in the month of August. Once school starts practice times are reduced and the schedule will be adjusted by the coach at that point. Games are played on Saturdays, times can vary week to week based on field availability and referee scheduling. Some will be played on our home field at Waukesha North, others played at other participating high schools in the area.

Coaching:

All of our coaches are required to be USA Heads Up Football certified. Your player's safety is a top priority for us. All coaches also have a background check thru an organization that the AAYFL approves (Trusted Coaches). All certifications are paid for by WNYF.

If you are interested in coaching please contact us!

We are always looking for more coaches to be involved with our program.
